Court Service, Inc. goes anywhere you need us to go. Though our most common stomping ground is the Tri-State area of Georgia, Alabama and Florida, clients send us all over the continental United States and out of it.
Why? Because it’s cheaper to send Court Service, Inc. with a full guarantee that we’ll get the job done than it is to deal with a service located closer to the subject being served.
How can that be? We provide a clear, up-front fee for our services. We will not come back to you and state that the initial fee paid for three attempts at the address you provided is exhausted, because, alas, those three attempts were unsuccessful. Oh, and just by the way, that address you gave? So sorry about this too, but it appears it’s not any good. So if you’re comparing Court Service, Inc.’s fees with those of a competitor, please ask them exactly how many attempts are included in that initial quote; what efforts they make to ascertain that the address for service is actually a good one; and whether they will proceed to follow the trail from one address to another, and another, if necessary. And whether all that’s included in the original fee quoted. Oh, and do be sure and ask them to include their expenses schedule.
As simply as we can explain it, here’s the deal. First, it is greatly to your advantage to be certain you have a good address for your subject. We recommend strongly that if you are not certain you have a good address, you allow us to perform a skip trace to verify it. If you are certain you have a good address, we will certainly proceed with service. And if you’ve given us a good address, we’ll make as many attempts as necessary until service is obtained. However, if the address isn’t any good, not only have you paid for an unsuccessful attempt and not only must the subject be located, it’s possible that the unsuccessful attempt has alerted the subject that someone is looking for him. And that’s usually not a good thing if he doesn’t want to be found.
Initial Consultations are always free. Once our services are engaged, we are pre-pay via PayPal. Your invoice comes to you marked Paid In Full.
Skip Traces are a flat $200.00 plus the search engine expense and any costs incurred in obtaining copies of documents. If we do not locate the subject, there is no fee. If we have located the subject, but are subsequently unable to perfect service, there’s no fee, either for the skip trace or for the service attempt.
Court Service, Inc. is based in Thomas County. Any service in Thomas County is a flat $50.00 fee, no mileage expense.
In the four counties surrounding Thomas County; specifically, Brooks, Mitchell, Colquitt and Grady Counties, the fee is a flat $75.00, no mileage expense.
Outside of those counties up to a radius of 50 miles, it’s a flat $150.00 service fee, no mileage expense.
Outside that radius up to 200 miles, service is a flat $200.00 fee plus mileage expense (calculated per MapQuest) at the current Federal Regulations, presently $.55 per mile.
Please call us for a quote for services involving travel exceeding that 200 mile radius. Mileage will also be billed at the current Federal Regulations, presently $.55 per mile.
Please note that there is no fee for expedited services. The first attempt at service will be made within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. We will make every effort to make that first attempt successful. Court Service, Inc. will never hold an assignment and wait to complete it until we receive another assignment in the same vicinity to trim our expenses. Every assignment is given the same priority. Should you be quoted a lesser fee for service within these geographical ranges, you might consider asking for an anticipated date of service.
That’s it. Those are our fees for service of process. For out-of-the ordinary situations involving air travel, we do ask for pre-payment of air fare and related travel expenses. Such situations will be discussed with you at the time of consultation – and remember there is no charge for initial consultations – all expenses will be kept to the minimal possible amount, and all expenses will be accounted for via copies of receipts.
Our other services offered have too many variables involved for us to reasonably quote a fee without having discussed the specifics of the services needed. For that reason and no other, we cannot provide an immediate quote for the services not specifically mentioned herein, but will do so either at or immediately following the initial consultation - which is always free of charge.
